Let's Talk About What Learning Reiki Can Do For You!

Reiki is natural healing method that comes to us from Japan. It uses that flow of universal life force energy to heal ourselves and others. The technique of Reiki is a skill that is passed down from a Reiki Master/Teacher to a student. It's an organized method of learning how to channel this energy from one person to another and how to utilize if for your own healing.
Reiki is taught in 3 levels. Reiki 1 focuses on self healing and renewal. Reiki 2 teaches us how to heal others and brings in the teachings of universal consciousness with a technique of sending healing energy through the ethers. Distant healing is fun and interesting to learn! Having instant feedback from other members in the group helps to expand your mind be open to a new way of operating in the world. Reiki 3 is the initiation of the master/teacher. In this level you will learn how to attune others to the Reiki energy. This is the beginning of self mastery. Learning Reiki is a life long practice of healing and self discovery.
For those of you who have done your Reiki levels with me or someone else, here are a few tips to keep you in the energy flow while you are learning about yourself and this beautiful tradition of healing.

Here are some tips and ideas for how to make the most of your Reiki Level 1 training:
Self-Care with Reiki
One of the most important ways you can use Reiki is to support your own self-care. Reiki can help to reduce stress and anxiety, promote relaxation, and support the body's natural healing processes. Here are some ways you can use Reiki for self-care:
Set aside time each day to practice self-Reiki. This can be as simple as placing your hands on your body and allowing the energy to flow.
Use Reiki to help you relax and fall asleep. Place your hands on your head or heart, or wherever you feel drawn, and allow the Reiki energy to calm your mind and body.
Use Reiki to support any areas of the body where you experience pain or discomfort. Simply place your hands on the affected area and allow the energy to flow.

Reiki for Plants and Pets
Did you know that Reiki can also be used to support the health and well-being of plants and pets? Here are some ways you can use Reiki for your furry friends or greenery:
Place your hands on your pet or plant and allow the Reiki energy to flow. Animals and plants are very sensitive to energy, and they may respond positively to the healing energy of Reiki.
Use Reiki to support your pet's health and well-being, especially if they are experiencing any health challenges. You can also use Reiki to help calm and soothe anxious or nervous pets.
Use Reiki to help your plants grow and thrive. You can place your hands on the soil around the plant, or simply visualize the Reiki energy flowing into the plant and supporting its growth.

New Research on Reiki
There is a growing body of research that supports the healing benefits of Reiki. Here are some recent studies that demonstrate the efficacy of Reiki:
A 2020 study published in the Journal of Holistic Nursing found that Reiki was effective in reducing pain and anxiety in patients undergoing colonoscopy.
These studies provide further evidence that Reiki can be a valuable tool for promoting healing and well-being.
Reiki is a very interesting healing method to learn. I have been practicing and teaching others for over 20 years and I am still amazed by the healing I have seen over the years. If you have recently completed a Reiki Level 1 course, you are now equipped with the tools and techniques you need to begin using Reiki to support yourself and others. Whether you use Reiki for self-care, to support your plants and pets, or to help others, you have the power to make a positive impact on the world around you.
